Beta testing
Join the LocalDocs beta
Thanks for helping shape LocalDocs. It’s in invite-only testing right now — enter your email below and we’ll add you as a tester, then it’s a couple of taps to get it on your phone.
Use the same Google account you sign in with on your Android phone — that’s the one we add to the test.
How it works
-
Enter your email
Pop in the same Google account you use on your Android phone (in the box above) — that’s the address we add to the test.
-
We add you as a tester
We’ll reply once you’re on the tester list — usually within a day.
-
Get it on your phone
Once you’re added, LocalDocs becomes available to install from the Play Store on your device — open the Play Store and it’ll be there.
-
First launch — a one-time setup
On first open, LocalDocs downloads its AI model (a few hundred MB — best on Wi-Fi). After that, it works fully offline.
-
Try the core flow
Open or create a folder, add a document or two (a PDF, Word file, or note — even a photo or drawing), then tap Ask your library and ask a question about them. Check that the answer makes sense and shows its source.
-
Keep it for ~14 days
Use it a few times over about two weeks. This helps us meet Google’s testing requirements so we can launch.
Send feedback
- Easiest: tap Report on any answer inside the app — it sends us the details privately.
- Or email us at [email protected].
- Public Play Store reviews aren’t required — we just want honest, private feedback on what felt clear, confusing, useful, or broken.
Good to know
- Free during testing — you won’t be charged, even though LocalDocs will be a paid app at launch.
- Everything stays on your device — your documents and questions never leave your phone, and there are no accounts. (See the privacy policy.)
- Answers are AI-generated from your own files — please double-check anything important.
- Android only — needs Android 12 or newer and a reasonably recent phone.
Thank you for helping shape LocalDocs. 🙏
